"My Desert Hare started out as something completely different when I began this painting. I was thinking almost abstract, perhaps even cubism. However, as often happens, the colors and shapes changed as they made the transition from my imagination to the canvas. When I was done, this fellow was staring back at me and I was very happy to meet him."
